By James Leaton, project director, Carbon Tracker

James recently presented at ACCA’s Accounting for the future event on the evolution of valuation techniques.

In his presentations he talks about the work that his organisation does on using emissions data to place a value on activity and how organisations are now more and more interested in using this data for future indicators on potential risks and reward.

One response to Keynote presentation: evolution of valuation techniques

  1.

Never a dull moment in the world or carbon, very thought provoking.

Scientists warn us to prepare for a future of severe weather events and now Mr Leaton does the same for “the markets”. If nothing else, if these issues are addressed, the indices will prove of value to a much wider audience than just those gambling with our money.
