Life is full of challenges and tests. This in itself makes life worth living. What is so great about a life that is predictable and going on and on with no ups and downs? There must be some twists and variations in the way of life that pump our engines and kick us off. I know there are some people who fear challenges and that it is purely natural, but there are also some adrenaline junkies who defy any test.
The ACCA qualification calls for such types of individuals who can meet challenges face to face and conquer their fears as regards the difficulty of this qualification. The rigorous exams students have to encounter are themselves indicative of the fact that those who succeed are the best in business. Every ACCA paper is a challenge and as I pass them one by one, I feel internally motivated to take on another, but at the same time I reckon that the next paper will require much more resilience and determination. To succeed in the papers to come will take up much more of my sweat and effort.
Now that the exams have ended for this session, I hope every ACCA student would be taking a sigh of relief, and I wish you all good luck for your efforts. So far I have attempted up to 11 papers, including 3 that I have taken this June. Among them, I found paper P3 Business Analysis (Professional Stage) the toughest so far. This is because this subject area is all about strategic thinking and takes students to a newer dimension where they ought to think from all perspectives and come to a conclusion. It includes all aspects from strategic business planning to marketing, from I.T. and project management to quality issues, change and people management. It has a very vast scope, which makes it even more challenging. Every answer to a question is unique and can be different from another, though still being correct. Although, I have taken this paper in this June session, before attempting it I had an eerie feeling regarding what kind of exam paper would be set, what it would include and what not, but after it went over I felt confident that I had done good enough to pass. Let's see what results I get.
The nature of the challenge made me realize how much tougher it will become as I progress through with my career. Much more effort and hard work needs to be put in place to ensure success. It is not a kid's puzzle any more but the jigsaw pieces are ever increasing making it even more complex. Only the one able to tackle such complexities can survive here. I recommend those who have not attempted this level of the ACCA qualification as yet, to give in their best and stay focused, and at the same time I salute those who have been successful in achieving a pass. The Professional Level of the qualification is much more demanding than the Fundamentals, because as the name suggests, it requires the core of professionalism.
Every paper in the Professional Level is a difficult challenge to accept but in order to qualify, you need to accept the challenge. I know the difficulty of the challenge seems a bit disheartening, but it would arouse in oneself, a feeling of passion to succeed and make one realize that nothing can come in their way to success. The challenge needs to be accepted with a desire to accomplish, faith within oneself and the belief in one's own capabilities. One can only succeed if he/she strives for success.
Lastly, I wish everyone who gave exams this session, best of luck once again!! Hopefully, we all achieve passes. Remember however, that success is never ending and failure is never final.
